Who wouldn’t want to preserve their natural tooth? Nobody would pick extraction and prosthesis over preserving their natural tooth. This is done by a very common procedure known as root canal therapy.
Beneath the white enamel and a hard layer of your tooth, is a soft tissue called pulp that contains blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue, which help the root of your tooth grow during its development.
When the pulp of your tooth is infected, inflamed or diseased it can cause a lot of pain and if left unaddressed or untreated can lead to an abscess, hence a root canal is recommended.
In the procedure of root canal, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected with care and precision. Then the void is filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Finally, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection, and your tooth will restore its normal function again.
We at Al Sawai ensure care and precision for such treatments, so that our patients have a comfortable and as pain free a treatment as possible. You can book an appointment or visit us directly at our hospital for a consult.
